Classroom Tour

I am so happy with our classroom.  Every time we walk in, it is filled with vibrant colors that helps to make our learning fun.  We have a few different areas that the kids can work at.  We have traditional desks that we use when we are writing.  During our reading times, the kids can choose to sit in the blue chairs, the black mushroom chair, their desks, the carpets, our bench, the green table, and even our crate seats.

We have 2 word walls in our classroom.  We have the traditional word wall with our "tricky" spelling words (written in blue) and our religion words (written in black).  We also have a Math Word Wall above.  This is updated as we master a new skill or learn new vocabulary.

Our classroom library is filled with a variety of book genres and reading levels!  I want all of my students to be able to read and feel confident in their choices.  We spend a lot of time learning about how to choose books and what the "Just Right" book looks like.

This is our listening center.  We listen to books being read to us during our Guided Reading Centers.

As the kids learn their prayers and master counting to 100 by 1's, 2's, 5's, and 10's, they're able to write their name on the club papers!

This is where we have our small reading groups.  The kids love the pink comfy stools.

When the kids show respect to others, are kind, follow the rules, and act like good Christians, they earn Golden tickets.  Each Friday, we have Fun Friday.  This is when the kids cash in their Golden Tickets to play in the various centers.

Each week we learn about a new Saint.  Each Saint is then added to our banner.

Each day we work on our calendar.  This is a variety of math concepts with our graphs, number of the day, calendar questions, number patterns, weather graph, and more.
