Holy Family School
Each day we have Guided Reading lessons with small groups and whole group. The Math lessons are also taught to the whole group of students and then we break into small groups to fine tune skills. In the afternoon, we have Math talks and calendar time. This is where we work on what a number is, what combinations make numbers, how to use a calendar, patterns, weather, and much more. We also have science/social science, handwriting, and phonics/word work in our curriculum.

Our small reading and math groups take place at the front table.
Our Calendar time and class library are in the back of the room.
We have a Saint of the Week board and Catholic Sacramentals that are used throughout the week.
Our classroom library books are labeled by themes and reading levels.
The classroom aids have a desk in the back of the room where they teach small ability groups for math and reading as well as do assessments.
