This week, we've been learning about friendship through the Rainbow Fish books. On Friday, we created our very own Rainbow Fish. We had a lot of fun coloring our own fish and adding shimmer scales. You can see them hanging up in our kindergarten hallway.
This year's Brilliant Bees are off to an amazing start! We're learning how school works, working on transitioning throughout the day, making friends, and so much more.
This week, our reading theme was all about friendship. We read a lot of Rainbow Fish stories and Little Critter Shares. We know that sharing and using kind words helps us to make friends and be a good friend.
We started our ABC Boot Camp to review our letters. This week, we introduced A, B, C, and D. We talked a lot about words that begin with those letters and practiced writing them. We also started our Number Boot Camp and have been working on the numbers 1-3.
After last week's snow day, we read the book The Snowy Day and made our own winter scenes. We talked about the character of the book and the order of events. For our snow, we mixed equal parts of glue and shaving cream! This makes fluffy paint that looks like real snow.
