How Plants Drink Water

The kids LOVED our first science experiment!  We've been learning about plants- the parts of plants and what they need to grow.  To show that plants drink water, we turned to some celery, lettuce, water and food coloring to demonstrate.  We talked about a hypothesis and cam up with educated guesses about how the water was absorbed.
