Penguin Directed Drawing

Yesterday, we watched a directed drawing video.  The kids were pretty nervous at first and were worried that their penguin drawings were not going to turn out well.  I reminded them that every drawing will be different, just like every penguin is different.  By the time we got to the end of the video, the kids were AMAZED at how well their penguins turned out.  We drew the penguins in our Penguin Journals and then labeled the parts of the penguins.  I am so proud at how the kids tried their best, gave positive comments to their neighbors, and created beautiful penguins.

Life Cycle of a Plant

We've been studying seeds, plants and their life cycle over the past month.  Yesterday, we were able to transplant our seedlings and bring them home.

February Family Project/Penguin Research

For our February family projects, the families need to draw a life size penguin.  Each student drew drew their penguin species and researched their penguin.  Once completed, the kids presented their research findings and posters.
