Life Cycle of a Plant

We've been studying seeds, plants and their life cycle over the past month.  Yesterday, we were able to transplant our seedlings and bring them home.

February Family Project/Penguin Research

For our February family projects, the families need to draw a life size penguin.  Each student drew drew their penguin species and researched their penguin.  Once completed, the kids presented their research findings and posters.

January Family Project

We started off January with our Gingerbread Unit.  The kids decorated giant gingerbread people at home for the monthly family project.  They also presented their Gingerbread story to the class.  During this unit, we wrote a rough draft, had our peers edit our stories and wrote a final copy.

Making Ice Cream

We had a great time making our own vanilla ice cream!  We measured out the ingredients and had fun tossing the bag back & forth with our partner. The result... Was delicious!
